Terms of Service

Last updated: October 24, 2026 · Русская версия

1. What meetNheal is

meetNheal (the “Service”, “we”, “us”) is a software platform for independent practitioners such as psychotherapists, counselors and coaches (“Practitioners”) and for the people who book and attend sessions with them (“Clients”). It provides online scheduling and booking pages, client records, session notes, reminders, video sessions, an optional calendar connection, and a way for a Client to pay a Practitioner.

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) are an agreement between you and the operator of meetNheal. By creating an account, booking a session, or otherwise using the Service you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. Our Privacy Policy explains how personal information is handled and is part of these Terms.

2. We are not a healthcare provider

If you are in crisis or in danger

meetNheal is not an emergency or crisis service. Do not use it to get help in an emergency.

  • If you or someone else may be in immediate danger, or you think you may harm yourself or another person, call 911 (or your local emergency number) now.
  • If you are in the United States and are in emotional distress or thinking about suicide, call or text 988, the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, at any hour, or chat at 988lifeline.org.

meetNheal provides technology only. We do not provide medical, psychological, psychiatric, counseling or any other health-care services, we are not a health-care provider, and nothing in the Service is medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. We do not employ, supervise or control Practitioners, and we do not take part in sessions.

A therapeutic or professional relationship exists only between a Client and the Practitioner they choose. It does not exist between you and us. The Practitioner alone is responsible for the services they provide, for the advice they give, and for how they keep their records. We do not recommend or endorse any Practitioner, and a profile on the Service is information supplied by the Practitioner, not a statement by us. If it matters to you, check a Practitioner’s license, credentials and standing with the relevant licensing board before you begin.

Messages sent through the Service are not monitored for urgent content. Do not rely on a reminder, a message or a booked session as a way to reach help quickly.

3. Accounts and eligibility

  • You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from them (see the Privacy Policy).
  • A person under 18 may attend sessions only where the Practitioner works with minors, a parent or legal guardian makes the booking and gives the required consent, and the arrangement complies with the law where the Practitioner and the minor are located.
  • Give accurate information and keep it current. Keep your password confidential, and tell us promptly if you think someone else has used your account. You are responsible for activity under your account.
  • One person, one account: do not share a login or create an account on someone else’s behalf without authority.

4. Terms for Practitioners

If you use the Service as a Practitioner, you also agree that:

  • You are an independent professional, not our employee, agent or partner. You are solely responsible for the services you provide and for your relationship with each Client.
  • You hold, and will keep, every license, registration and insurance that the law requires for the services you offer, in every state or country where you or your Clients are located, including any rules on telehealth and on providing services across state lines. We do not verify licenses or credentials unless the Service says otherwise, and we are not responsible for what you state in your profile.
  • You are responsible for your professional and legal duties: informed consent, intake and clinical documentation, mandatory reporting, duty-to-protect obligations, record-retention rules, confidentiality, and compliance with privacy laws that apply to you. If you are a “covered entity” under HIPAA, read the HIPAA section of our Privacy Policy before you put protected health information into the Service.
  • You decide what to record and why. You are the owner of, and the party in control of, the information about your Clients that you enter into the Service. We process it on your behalf and on your instructions, as described in the Privacy Policy. You are responsible for having the notices, consents and lawful basis for putting that information into the Service.
  • You set your own fees, services, availability and cancellation rules and must present them to Clients before they book. You must comply with consumer-protection, tax and payment-processing rules that apply to you.
  • Do not use the Service to treat or manage emergencies. Tell your Clients, in your own intake materials, how they can get urgent help.

5. Terms for Clients

  • When you book a session you are making an arrangement with the Practitioner. Their fees and their cancellation and rescheduling rules are set by them and shown to you on their booking page. We are not a party to that arrangement.
  • The information you give when booking (for example your name, contact details and answers to intake questions) is entered into the Practitioner’s client record and is handled by the Practitioner under their own professional and legal duties. To see, correct or delete it, ask the Practitioner (see the Privacy Policy for what you can also do yourself).
  • If you create a client account, keep your sign-in details safe. You can sign in with an email address and password or, where offered, through Yandex ID.

6. Video sessions and recording

Video sessions run on video-conferencing software that we operate. A session is private between the Practitioner and the Client who are invited to it. Do not share a session link or let anyone else join without the Practitioner’s agreement.

  • A Practitioner can switch on recording and written transcription for their sessions. The Service asks the Client for a separate, specific consent before a session is recorded, and a session is not recorded unless the Client agrees. A Client can decline and still attend.
  • Where a session is transcribed, the audio is sent to a speech-to-text provider named in the Privacy Policy. Recordings are deleted automatically after a limited period; transcripts are kept encrypted until the Practitioner deletes them or the account is deleted.
  • Do not record, screenshot or otherwise capture a session by any other means unless every participant has agreed. Many U.S. states require the consent of everyone in a conversation before it may be recorded, and breaking those laws can be a crime.
  • Video quality depends on your device and your network. We do not promise that a session will connect or run without interruption. Agree with your Practitioner what you will do if a session fails.

7. Payments

  • Payment for a session goes from the Client to the Practitioner. Each Practitioner connects their own account with the payment provider YooKassa, and the money is paid to that account. meetNheal does not take payment for a Practitioner’s services and does not hold the funds.
  • The Client enters card details on the payment provider’s own page. meetNheal does not receive or store card numbers. We keep only the status and amount of a payment and the booking it belongs to.
  • The payment provider’s own terms apply to the payment and may charge fees. Questions and disputes about a payment are between the Client, the Practitioner and the payment provider, according to the Practitioner’s published terms and the provider’s rules.
  • If we introduce fees for using the Service itself, we will show the price and billing terms before you are charged.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • break the law or violate anyone’s rights, including privacy and professional-confidentiality rights;
  • pose as another person or misstate your qualifications, license, identity or affiliation, or use the Service to provide professional services you are not authorized to provide;
  • harass, threaten or abuse any person, or send unsolicited promotional messages through the Service;
  • upload malware, probe or test the security of the Service, bypass rate limits or access controls, or interfere with its operation;
  • scrape the Service, or access it through automated means we have not approved;
  • access accounts or records that are not yours, or use information about other people for any purpose other than the care or service the Service exists for;
  • use the Service for a child-exploitation, unlawful-surveillance or other unlawful purpose.

We may remove content, suspend or close an account, or refuse a booking if we reasonably believe these Terms or the law have been broken or the Service or other people are at risk. Where we can do so safely and lawfully, we will tell you why and give you time to export your data.

9. Your content and our rights

You keep ownership of everything you put into the Service: profile text, notes, files, messages and recordings (“Your Content”). You give us a limited, non-exclusive license to host, copy, transmit, display and process Your Content, only as needed to run the Service for you and the people you invite, to keep it secure, and to comply with law. We do not use Your Content to advertise, and we do not sell it.

The Service, including its software, design and the meetNheal name and logo, belongs to us and our licensors. We grant you a personal, revocable, non-transferable right to use the Service under these Terms. If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them without restriction or payment to you.

10. Third-party services

The Service connects to services run by others, for example calendar services (Google Calendar, Yandex Calendar), sign-in through Yandex ID, email delivery, speech-to-text and payment processing. When you choose to connect one, that provider’s own terms and privacy policy also apply, and we are not responsible for how the provider operates. You can disconnect a calendar connection at any time in the Service’s settings.

11. Privacy and health information

Our Privacy Policy describes what we collect, why, who receives it, how long we keep it, and your rights, including rights of California residents and residents of other states.

meetNheal is not a HIPAA-covered entity, and we do not currently sign Business Associate Agreements. The Service is therefore not offered as a HIPAA-compliant service. A Practitioner who is a covered entity or business associate under HIPAA must decide, with their own advisers, whether and how they may use the Service, and should not enter protected health information into it unless HIPAA allows that for them. See the “HIPAA” section of the Privacy Policy.

12. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted or error-free operation, and the accuracy or completeness of any content (including Practitioner profiles). We do not guarantee any outcome from any session or from using the Service.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers, so some of the above may not apply to you.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, goodwill or data, arising from or related to the Service, even if we have been told they are possible. We are also not liable for any act, advice, omission or professional conduct of a Practitioner, or for any dispute between a Client and a Practitioner.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for all claims arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim and one hundred U.S. dollars (US$100).

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for fraud or willful misconduct, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence where the law does not permit excluding it.

14. Indemnity

You are responsible for Your Content and for your use of the Service. To the extent permitted by law, you will defend and reimburse us against third-party claims, and the resulting losses and reasonable costs, that arise from your breach of these Terms, from Your Content, or from the services you provide to Clients if you are a Practitioner. We will tell you promptly of any such claim and cooperate reasonably.

15. Ending your use; your data on exit

  • You can stop at any time. A Practitioner can export their account data and request deletion of their account in the Service’s settings. Deletion starts a grace period of 30 days, during which signing in again cancels it; after that the data is deleted or de-identified as the Privacy Policy describes. A Client with a verified client account can have their account data exported and the account deleted; the Privacy Policy explains how to ask.
  • We may suspend or end access if you break these Terms, if the law requires it, or if we stop offering the Service. If we end the whole Service we will give notice and a reasonable chance to export your data.
  • A Practitioner who leaves remains responsible for keeping or transferring Client records as their professional and legal duties require; exporting before deletion is how to do that.
  • Provisions that by their nature should survive (ownership, disclaimers, liability, indemnity, and this list) survive termination.

16. Changes to these Terms or the Service

We may update these Terms. We will post the new version here with a new “Last updated” date and, for material changes, notify account holders by email or in the Service before the change takes effect. If you keep using the Service after the effective date, you accept the updated Terms; if you do not accept them, stop using the Service and, if you wish, delete your account. We may also change, add or remove features, and we will try to give notice of a change that significantly reduces what the Service does for you.

17. General

  • These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about the Service.
  • If a provision is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Not enforcing a provision is not a waiver of it.
  • You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of the Service, with notice to you.
  • We may communicate with you electronically, including by email and in the Service, and an electronic notice satisfies any legal requirement that a notice be in writing.

Governing law and dispute resolution

The governing law of these Terms, the courts or forum where disputes are heard, and any arbitration or class-action-waiver terms are not yet specified. They will be added to this section before the Service is offered to users in the United States, and they will apply only from the date they are published here.

Until then, nothing in these Terms limits any right or remedy you have under mandatory consumer-protection, privacy or professional-regulation law where you live, and nothing in them requires you to give up your right to bring a claim in court.

19. Contact

Our dedicated email address for questions about these Terms and legal notices has not been published yet. It will be listed here and in the operator details of the Terms of Service as soon as it is, and requests can be submitted from that point.
